Morag Currie is a violist, fiddler, composer/producer and community musician, based in Paisley, but originally from Thurso in Caithness. She performs in a diverse range of genres and ensembles, from traditional Scottish music to Classical and contemporary. Morag’s own works are rooted in folk music, but also make use of electronics, digital workstations and sampled sounds.
Morag’s role with Hear My Music is a highly-rewarding one: it encompasses supporting project delivery, sourcing funding, and general team support. It is, however, always the direct work with participants that remains the highlight of the week.
In her (occasionally) free time, Morag can mostly be found in one of her many tents, taking photographs, and riding pillion on a BMW1250.
